WORKFORCE PARTNERSHIP LEAD, Pritzker Traubert Foundation

Chicago, IL
Full Time
Senior Manager/Supervisor
WHO WE ARE
At the Pritzker Traubert Foundation, we believe that all Chicagoans should have equal access to economic opportunity. Every day, we partner with visionary leaders to implement bold plans to connect talent to jobs, support access to capital, and build an inclusive and growing economy. Because when all of Chicago’s neighborhoods and neighbors thrive – especially those who have been left out of economic investment in the past – the city works better for everyone.

Pritzker Traubert Foundation’s workforce strategy invests in organizations that leverage public funding to create inclusive employment opportunities in high-growth industries like climate and tech. We prioritize ideas with sustainable business models and potential to connect thousands of Chicagoans with opportunity. By providing flexible grants to innovative leaders, PTF helps them build new coalitions and pilot new strategies. Our new Chicago Workforce Innovation Fund provides large, flexible awards to scale our grantees’ best ideas.  We have grown our workforce portfolio in the last two years to nearly $25MM in current and projected grantmaking commitments.

THE ROLE
We are seeking a creative, relationship-driven Partnership Lead to help us develop and implement a sophisticated partnership strategy to support our grantees and grow our pipeline of transformative, scalable workforce strategies.  Working with the Chief Strategy Officer, key responsibilities will include engagement with grantees to identify how PTF can accelerate their impact and fundraising; leadership of strategic external affairs activities like communication, convenings, and relationship development; and support for the refinement of PTF’s funding strategy, including new partnerships and approaches to source and evaluate workforce ideas.

A successful candidate will have an aptitude for relationship building, familiarity with key themes and leaders in the workforce ecosystem, and an entrepreneurial enthusiasm for finding and supporting new leaders. While consulting experience is not required, a successful candidate will likely possess many of those core skills: ability to navigate complexity, identify strategic opportunities, build relationships, and support decision-making. They must be deeply committed to racial equity and economic opportunity, and compelled by the knowledge that talented people continue to be systematically excluded due to their race, community, and life circumstances.
